A survey conducted by the Federation of Small Businesses has found that 63 per cent of SMBs are unhappy with the speed of their broadband service.
According to ERT Online, the FSB has written to the newly appointed leader of the Labour Party, Ed Miliband, outlining some of the problems that SMBs face and included some details from a survey of more than 4,000 members in an effort to have these issues addressed in Parliament.
Included among the findings was the fact that 33 per cent felt that excessive red tape was hindering business growth, 57 per cent believed that adopting green business practices would save them money, and an overwhelming 75 per cent wanted the tax system simplified.
“It is important however, that the new leader remembers that small businesses are the biggest employer in the UK and that it is they that will take the UK firmly onto the road to recovery,” said the FSB’s chairman John Walker.
