A survey carried out by PCR and Infinite FMS has found that over 60 per cent of retailers think that this year will see widespread demand for 3D display technology.
62 per cent of respondents felt that the was poised to go mainstream over the course of the next 12 months, while only 15 per cent did not agree.
Nvidia has already embraced the technology with its GeForce 3D Vision graphics card, while 3D display smartphones are in the pipeline.
With a slew of successful 3D movies currently making the rounds at cinemas, and a number of new technologies in the pipeline, it is perhaps no surprise that the concept is at the forefront of the public imagination.
