There are now 20,421 applications available for the iPhone, according to a study by MobClix.Games make up the largest single type of app, with 6,000 currently available.
The growing number of applications points to the success of Apple’s App Store, and bodes well for other firm’s which have announced plans for similar operations.
The most popular paid-for applications at the time of the survey were:
