Sony launches low light cameras

Sony has launched two new compact digital still cameras into its Cybershot range, intended for use in low-light environments.

Both the TX1 and WX1 cameras boast 10.2MP Exmor R CMOS sensors and BIONZ image processors to give users large images with minimal noise. Both are slim and designed to appeal to users who want small cameras that are powerful and flexible.

The TX1 has a Carl Zeiss lens, with a 4x optical zoom and an extra large, wide three-inch LCD touch-screen on the back of its 14.1mm thick body.

The WX1 comes with Sony’s own G-Lens technology, a 5x zoom, 24mm wide-angle lens (24mm-120mm) and a maximum aperture of f/2.4.

The cameras also have a high definition film mode, giving users even more flexibility in the way that they use the devices.
