Packard Bell resurrects its iextreme unit

Unit to offer GTS 250, room for 12GB of RAM, 3TB hard drive, and the MD Phenom II X4 quad-core processor

Packard Bell has revamped its high-end iextreme desktop system.

The unit is offered with an Intel Core i7, Core 2 Quad, and AMD Phenom II X4 quad-core processor, and the space for “up to” 12GB of DDR3 memory.

Packard Bell will bundle in the nVidia GeForce GTS 250 (with 1GB video memory) for top-end systems, all coming through the device’s HDMI output.

Its hard disc drive stands at an arguably unnecessary 3TB, while the device also comes with an optional Blu-Ray combo drive, as well as space for additional storage and drives.

Pricing starts at £600.
