Channel Expo 08: UK trade show expecting bumper crowds as the channel descends on Birmingham's NEC

The UK's largest trade show for the PC industry, Channel Expo has opened its doors, with this year's show expected to the be the largest for many years.

Over 6,500 people are expected to pass through the Birmingham NEC's doors as the trade show, now in its second year under the new format, runs over the next two days, hosted by organisers Incisive Media.

Over 100 exhibitors from across the industry are in attendance with big names such as Ingram Micro and Entatech showing their wares at the show, as well as media coverage from every major industry trade magazine and website including PC Retail and Incisive's own CRN.

The event is running from today, until 5pm tomorrow. PC Retail is live at the show and will be bringing you news and views from the event over the next two days.

Oh dear - would like to have gone to the expo - flights easily available but could not find accommodation anywhere nearby (at a sensible rate).

Was a rubbish show the last coupe of times I made the long trek, maybe I'll consider a return visit next year.

i have been to the show today and went last year. there was a big improvement today with more stalls and more helpfull people on them. i can ohnestly say i had a great day out.
