Distributor's parent company forced to admit talks after shares spike
Fayrewood, the parent company of Interface Solutions, has confirmed that it is in discussions to sell the UK distributor after a sudden spike in its share price.
The news of talks follows on from the sale of its French arm, Banque Magnetique, to DCC-owned Gem last month.
Interface's managing director, Keith Negal, had last month said he was expecting a cash boost from Fayrewood.
"The company notes the recent movement in its share price and confirms that it is in talks with a third party which may or may not lead to an offer being made for all or part of the company," Fayrewood said in a statement.

Any news on the Westcoast buy out of XMA. Are Westcoast going after the enduser market now?
Good shout... this is definately in the pipeline....
It's been my understanding that westcoast have been less than concerned about who they sell to. If you have an order they have never cared if you are enduser or reseller! This is just the next step!
Didn't Andy Dow, ex-director of W/C now working at Dell, say that although they had entered enduser sales with Orion, the consumable company, they would buy a hardware company! How can you trust this bunch - I won't be giving them my customers names in future.
