Vendor first to market with AMD's new CPU socket

Asus has unveiled the very first motherboards based upon AMD's new AM2+ chipset with the M2A-VM being the first to arrive to market.

The vendor has announced a total of ten boards that will support the new chip socket.  It is due to be joined by rival, Gigabyte, which will to launch its AM2+ chipset-based motherboards later this month.

"As we have strived to be number one in providing the best quality, service and innovation to customers, ASUS gives the world the first motherboard, the M2A-VM, which is compatible with the latest AMD AM2+ CPU," said ASUS' vice president of motherboard business department, Joe Hsieh.

am2+ on am2 boards?

have any manufactures stated that bios updates for am2 boards will be released so the boards can take an am2+ chip?
i have checked the asus site (m2n32sli deluxe) and there is no mention of am2+ in general let alone any specific facts. 3 months ago i purchased my high end board and hope that its still got a future ???
