First PhysX vendors announced

Dell and Medion to incorporate physics-processing units into high-end gaming machines

Following on from yesterday's story about Ageia launching a new mobile version of its physics-processing unit, the Ageia PhysX Mobile, the first two vendors that are to use the new card have been revealed.

The vendors, Dell and Medion, have both announced that the card is to be used in their high-end gaming PCs. However, while Medion has announced what model the technology will be included in, Dell are yet to comment only saying that it will be used in one of its high end gaming laptops.

While not officially confirmed, it is widely speculated that Dell's M1730, also known as 'The Beast' is the laptop Dell was referring to.

The Medion model that will come with the Ageia card built in is the PhysX Gaming PC Sys 6539. The system also comes with Windows Vista Home Premium, a 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2048 MB RAM and a nVIDIA GeForce 8800GTS.
