The latest Versus tablet PC ships with Android Ice Cream Sandwich
Versus has launched the TouchPad 9, the latest addition to its tablet PC range, which features a nine-inch, five point multi-touch capacitive screen.
Designed to be portable and easy to use on the move, the TouchPad 9 is enclosed within a light chassis, and whilst boasting a nine-inch screen, is small enough to slip into most bags.
Though the TouchPad 9 is somewhat similar on the surface to its smaller predecssor the Touchpad 7, its insides are rather different. It's powered by an A13 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM and integrated graphics processor, and carries an RRP of £129.99.
Whilst shipping with 8GB of onboard flash storage, the device allows for up to 32GB of storage via the included microSD slot. It also features one of the latest Android operating systems – 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – which builds off the success of its previous platforms and offers the same popular features its users have come to expect such as multitasking, notifications, customisable home screens and resizable widgets.
Connectivity is another strong point of the device, as it comes equipped with wi-fi for high speed internet access on the go, which means users can easily stream the latest TV shows, films and other multimedia.Article continues below
With a battery life of up to four hours, the tablet is designed to be at the centre of your entertainment world, shipping complete with a variety of pre-installed apps that range from social media icons including Facebook, YouTube and Skype to BBC iPlayer and even the critically acclaimed Angry Birds game.
Users will also be able to access the Google Play store and its vast library of apps in order to equip the device with all of their favourite apps to suit their entertainment needs.
