The world's first 4TB portable hard drive has been revealed by Seagate.
The Seagate Backup Plus Fast doubles the largest size previously offered by standard portable drives.
Fully USB powered, the drive doesn’t require an external power supply, making it fully portable.
With more room to fill, the drive’s SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connection also allows bigger files to fill the space more quickly than before – with up to a maximum speed of 220MB/s for larger files and folders.
Seagate Dashboard software is included, which allows users to set up scheduled and automatic backups for computers, social networks and mobile devices.Article continues below
The Save and Share feature can be used to download and upload content from popular social media sites such as Facebook and Flickr, including photos that users have been tagged in.
In addition, the Seagate Mobile Backup app can be installed on iOS or Android devices to backup all of the photos and files from the device to the drive.
The drive also supports backups using Dropbox and Google Drive.
