New USB modem offers freedom abroad
LM Technologies CE Division has launched the LM014, an unlocked 3.5G HSPA+ 14.4Mbps USB modem.
It’s compatible with any SIM card from any global operator, which means it can be used whether in the UK or abroad without incurring huge overseas charges. Because it’s unlocked, users can shop around to take advantage of the different rates that various UK network operators offer.
The LM014 is a plug and play device that also comes with a Micro-SD slot. It’s been designed to work as a flash drive as well as modem, capable of storing up to 16GB.
It has download and upload speeds of 14.4Mbps and 5.76Mbps respectively and the modem is compatible with both 2G and 3G networks.
