Revamped software suite includes banking and privacy protection
F-Secure has released the latest iteration of its Internet Security software, which features a redesigned UI and several new security solutions.
One new feature is Safe Profile, a mode that determines how safe an online profile is – for example, whether photos and personal data can be viewed by strangers – and suggests ways to secure the profile.
Internet Security 2014 also includes F-Secure’s DeepGuard 5, which concentrates on vulnerability exploits and closes any routes by which malware could infect the system, for instance through zero-day attacks.
For those who bank online, Internet Security includes Banking Protection. This increases the security level automatically when online banking is initiated, blocking any connections that could send private data to criminals, for example.
Browser Protection, found in previous Internet Security releases, now also includes support for https-encrypted sites, combatting the danger of malicious links.Article continues below
Children are also protected – parents can use the Parental Control service to make sure that their kids stay safe on the internet.
Internet Security 2014 also has a Game Mode, meaning that gamers can play without their PC slowing down due to the software, and don’t have to disable protection.
The RRP for F-Secure Internet Security 2014 begins at £22.95 for one year’s licence.
