From PC to Mac, tablets and smartphones, Kaspersky’s fresh security software supports many devices.
Kasperksy has launched the latest update to its security suite software.
With support for Windows, Mac and Android tablets and smartphones, the Internet Security 2014 Multi-Device software also uses just one licence.
This single licence allows users to mix-and-match different platforms and devices. Protection against Trojans, spyware, adware, viruses and 0-day threats is provided in real-time, which Kaspersky says doesn’t slow down computers. Kaspersky’s protection also attempts to safeguard against the non-virtual threats that target portable tablets and phones, like theft, loss and prying eyes.
Kaspersky states that compared to previous editions of its software, Internet Security 2014 Multi-Device has improved defence during online transactions combined with protection against phishing and identity theft. The inclusion of parental controls on PC and Mac provide control for parents over their childrens’ use of the web.Article continues below
Kaspersky’s software also addresses annoyances such as browser banner ads and cold-calls, with call and text filtering on mobiles to halt nuisances and targeted malice.
If a computer is infected, Kaspersky’s software can return the system to a clean and safe state using ‘malware rollback’. If the tablet or smartphone with Internet Security 2014 Multi-Device installed is stolen, users can choose lock it, locate it and then use the ‘Mugshot’ mode in order to remotely photograph the thieves.
Figures released by Kaspersky claim that there are approximately five devices in every household, and 200,000 new malware threats appear every day. Kaspersky adds that Internet Security 2014 Multi-Device is the best performing version of the software yet, and should halt a wide variety of threats.
Internet Security 2014 Multi-Device is available from Gem Distribution now, with an SRP of £49.99, which covers up to three devices for a year.
