Extreme6 comes with X button designed for smart overclocking
ASRock has introduced its new Windows 8-ready motherboard, the FM2A85X Extreme6.
The new motherboard includes support for Socket FM2 processors, and comes with an AMD A85X Hudson D4 chipset, with integrated AMD Radeon HD 7000 series graphics in A-series APU. It also includes free bundled software, including CyberLink MediaEspresso 6.5 Trial, and Google’s Chrome browser with toolbar.
The FM2A85X Extreme6 motherboard comes with ASRock’s X-Boost technology, designed to unleash the hidden power of your CPUs. By pressing the X button when turning the PC on, X-Boost will automatically overclock the relative components to get up to 15.77 per cent performance boost.
By adopting digital pulse-width modulation (PWM), the ASRock motherboard can provide CPU Vcore voltage more efficiently and smoothly. Compared to analog PWM, digital PWM can optimise the CPU power solution and provide a proper and stable Vcore for the processor.
With HyperFormance for optimising game responsiveness, and switchable graphics to dynamically assign tasks to the best graphic resource, the motherboard is designed for intense gaming.Article continues below
