Softline is looking for Sales Account Managers to manage prime retail accounts across the UK and Europe to generate sales of our vendors products. The job is mainly office based but will involve some travel. We are looking for motivated candidates with a passion for the products they sell. Responsibilities:
• To manage existing accounts by selling software and hardware products and services to technology retailers, maintaining and improving on revenue targets, profit including rebate performance and traded accounts, whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
• Keeping abreast of all new products released and ensuring relevant information is filtered to retailers and their sales teams.
• Proactively seeking new business opportunities through our current customer base whilst searching for new account opportunities.
Duties:
• Customer visits and liaising by telephone and email, taking customer orders, providing product information: availability, discontinuation & special offers and to provide pricing and quotations to customers.
• Participate in activities which improve service levels: maintain and improve product knowledge & market knowledge - training initiatives to increase knowledge and skills.
• Consistently meet and exceed targets, competent and effective operation of the computer systems and telephone systems.
• Customer visits may be required on an ad hoc basis.
Reporting to:
• Commercial Manager.
Skills & Training:
• Good commercial and communication skills to include overcoming objections.
• Highly personable with excellent telephone and customer service skills.
• Team Player.
Experience:
• Proven track record within a sales and account management environment.
• Knowledge of distribution market is an asset.
