VIP Computers has bought the Liverpool-based systems builder CMS Computers.
The acquisition of CMS, which is best known for producing the Zoostorm and Fizzbook brands, will bring another successful firm in to the VIP group, which has seen turnover in excess of £200 million.
CMS will continue to operate independently and with its own brand, under the guidance of two of its current directors, Sion Roberts and Ian Fraser.
“CMS are the UK’s third largest independent PC builder in the UK and will grow further by maintaining their commitment to their business model with the added strength and support of VIP Group,” said VIP’s chairman Jatti Sahni.
“I am keen to leverage the strength of VIP Group to significantly acquire scale through a blend of organic growth and further strategic acquisitions within our chosen sectors.”
