One official distributor reports 500,000 sales alone

Raspberry Pi: 1m boards sold since launch

The Raspberry Pi Foundation has revealed that although it doesn’t have ‘completely up-to-date’ figures, it’s pretty sure it has sold more than a million Raspberry Pi boards.

One of the Raspberry Pi’s official distributors, element 14, sent to foundation a lovely infographic to reveal the new that it has manufactured and sold over 500,000 mini PCs so far.

With element 14 being one of two official Raspberry Pi distributors, the foundation is confident that they have crossed the one million mark with the sales from other distributor RS Components.

“I’ve not got much more to say – but I will note that we’ll be opening a bottle of something fizzy tonight!” reads the Raspberry Pi blog.
