First details and specs of Microsoft’s debut Chromebook rival – the HP Stream – have been revealed.
A leak from Mobile Geeks claims that HP will be launching the HP Stream 14, a 14-inch Windows 8.1 laptop, for $199.
The new device is said to have a low-powered AMD A4 Micro processor, an SD slot, 2GB of RAM, 1366×768 pixel display and either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage.
It will also have a 720p webcam, Beats Audio, an HDMI output, one VSB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports.
Reports suggest that the new model will look characteristically similar to HP’s Chromebook 14, which also features a 14-inch display.
As well as this, Microsoft will apparently be including 100GB of OneDrive storage for two years with the purchase of the Stream 14.
There is no release date as of yet, however, reports suggest that the new device will be available soon.
The news comes after HP launched two new detachable products earlier this month. The commercial PC allows users to remove the screen for a more portable use, while the screen can be re-attached to create a laptop.
