Wolfenstein retakes PC game chart crown as Wildstar falls

Wolfenstein: The New Order has retaken the PC game chart top spot, as new MMO Wildstar drops to second place.

The rebooted PC classic debuted at number one three weeks ago, before falling to third behind Watch Dogs and Football Manager 2014 in the following week, ending May 31st.

Wolfenstein then clawed its way back to second, before knocking NCSoft’s PC exclusive MMO Wildstar from the throne last week.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft’s long-hyped open-world hacking title Watch Dogs sat at fourth in the ranks for the second week in a row.

Battlefield 4 and The Elder Scrolls Online retained their fifth and sixth places respectively.

The Sims 3: Starter Bundle rose a place to seventh, possibly spurred by the E3 release date announcement of the next title in the massively popular people simulation series – The Sims 4.

Three games entered the top 20 – Enemy Front at eight, Spintires at 14 and previous chart contender Call of Duty: Ghosts at 20.

Meanwhile in the budget chart, Sega’s war-time RTS Company of Heroes 2 shot to number one after a week in fifth place, leaving rival RTS Command & Conquer: Ultimate Edition at two.

Expansion packs for The Sims 3 also saw a boost in the budget chart, with Seasons rising to third from seventh, Into The Future shooting up to seventh from 17th, Pets staying strong at eighth and Island Paradise re-entering the top 10 at ninth from 15th. The Sims 3: University Life bucked the trend by falling one spot to 14th, while the base game also fell, down to 13th from ninth.
