Toshiba Encore exclusive distribution deal signed

Distributor Exertis Micro-P has been named exclusive distribution partner for the new Toshiba Encore tablet.

The supplier will provide its reseller partners with training, as well as pre-sale and post-sale technical support, and says the device is available now at a ‘new lower price point’.

The Toshiba Encore tablet has an eight-inch AutoBrite display, comes pre-installed Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013, plus Xbox apps including free music streaming and Xbox SmartGlass functionality to mirror content between devices.

It has 7GB of free online SkyDrive storage, while its speakers, microphone and cameras are placed outside of the area where the tablet is gripped. An optional Bluetooth keyboard can also be added.

Exertis Micro-P is presenting the Encore as both a work tool and entertainment device that is ideal for the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) market.

Simon Barnard, Computing General Manager at Exertis Micro-P, said: “We are thrilled to be able to our reseller partners the Encore. Since the move to the BYOD model, the market has been waiting for a long time for a device like this and the Encore meets their needs perfectly.

"We anticipate a great deal of interest in and demand for the Encore, and we will work closely with our reseller partners to make this product a real hit for them and Toshiba, through comprehensive training, technical and marketing support and, of course, our excellence in logistics and distribution.”
