Tech Data has now been named Microsoft OEM Partner of the Year for the EMEA region.
The award has been given to the distributor in recognition of the innovation and performance it has carried out in developing its TD Activate-here software download and activation platform.
James Reed, director of software and systems at Tech Data, said: “We have been working hard to communicate the benefits of TD Activate-here to our customers and to encourage them to use the platform effectively.”
The company also recently made its InStore app available, which can be installed on PCs used at the point of sale, providing retailers with access to the full range of software packages available on the TD Activate-here platform.
Microsoft’s range of package products, software from Adobe, Symantec and McAfee, as well as Sage, F-Secure and Iris Software are all available on Activate-here, with more vendors to be added this year.
Reed added: “We’re pleased to get this recognition from Microsoft but believe there is still much more we can do to help our customers and make TD Activate-here even better.”
The award will be presented at a Microsoft event in Dublin this month.
