Microsoft is remaining coy over the suggestion it will be bringing its biggest upcoming Xbox exclusive games to the PC.
PCR received word last week from several credible sources that the tech giant will be publishing currently Xbox One exclusive titles, such as Halo 5: Guardians and Forza Motorsport 6, on the PC.
"Microsoft are going to be focusing a lot more on the PC gaming side than previously, and they’re also going to be bringing a lot of Xbox platform exclusives to Windows as well," said one senior PC gaming figure.
"So this includes some of the biggest franchises in the Microsoft stable like Fable, Forza Motorsport and Halo. They’re all forecasted to start coming out on PC in the future."
Now Microsoft has sent the following statement to PCR following the report:
“We’re excited about bringing new gaming experience to Windows 10 PCs and have announced a handful of Xbox games coming to Windows 10 to date, including Fable Legends, Gigantic, Minecraft, #IDARB, Shovel Knight, Pinball FX, Siegecraft Commander, and Super Dungeon Bros," said a Microsoft spokesperson.
"We have nothing new to announce at this time.”
It’s interesting that the statement isn’t the usual "Microsoft does not comment on rumour and speculation".
Note also that Microsoft doesn’t flat out deny the suggestion.
