Reports claim Gold watch will cost $5000

Gold Apple Watch to cost more than low-end Rolex

Reports suggest Apple’s gold Apple Watch will cost somewhere between $4,000 (£2,517) and $5,000 (£3,150).

The stainless steel version will also cost more, with reports suggesting it will start at $500 (£315).

The pricing of the Gold variant is more than the current low-end Rolex on the market, where prices start at just over £3,000.

The report comes from sources at Apple via French website iGen.fr.

Sources from the website also claim that Apple is hoping to release the watch as soon as possible, however, other rumours dispute this claiming that the watch will not be available until Spring 2015.

The Apple Watch was first unveiled in September and features a built-in speaker and microphone, which can be used to make phone calls.

Plus, users can also set up email alerts and use Sketch to draw something on the watch’s face. Apple also announced that the pricing for its Apple Watch will start at $349.
