Apple reveals new iCloud pricing

Apple has revealed a new cheaper pricing scheme for iCloud Drive, complete with the option for a full terabyte of space.

The new options include 500GB and 1TB of storage, which are now available to users for $9.99 and $19.99 a month respectively.

The lower tiers of the new iCloud prices were revealed earlier this year at the ‘Apple Worldwide Developers Conference’, where users could opt for 5GB of free storage and pay $0.99 per month for 20GB of space, or $3.99 a month for 200GB.

Although these new prices are lower compared to iCloud’s original annual pricing scheme, Dropbox and Google Drive are still offering customers $9.99 a month for 1TB of storage.

This news comes after the alleged hack of Apple’s iCloud service, where hundreds of private images of celebrities were exposed.

The leak was dubbed ‘the biggest celebrity hacking scandal in history’, with 101 iCloud accounts apparently breached and nude images leaked online.
