Adobe has filed a lawsuit against Forever 21, accusing the fashion retailer of pirating a number of its software products, including Photoshop, Acrobat and Illustrator.
Adobe believes there have been 63 different instances where Forever 21 has pirated its software. Autodesk and Corel have also joined Adobe in the allegations, accusing the retailer of producing pirated copies of Autodesk, WinZip and PaintShopPro.
The complaint details that Forever 21 continued to pirate software even after being contacted by Adobe.
The software firm is asking the California District Court to issue an injunction and compensate the companies for lost revenue, court costs, and additional damages.
This time last year, Adobe added 3D printing capabilities to Photoshop. The photo editing software has since been added Google’s line of Chromebooks.
More recently, the firm has released a digital pen and digital ruler designed to help users of Adobe’s mobile apps produce more detailed creations.
